Embrace Your Creativity- The Second Chakra

Chakras are spinning wheels of energy in the body – Each of the seven Chakras reflect a different aspect of consciousness that’s crucial to living fully. If a Chakra is blocked, it can result in both physical and spiritual ailments. The second Chakra digests emotional energies in the nervous and reproduction organs.

The Svadhisthana, “The Dwelling Place of the Self”, is located about four fingers down from the belly button, in the center of the belly. It is symbolized by the color orange. It represents emotions, creativity, healthy relationships, sexuality, and is the foundation of our feeling of well-being. An imbalance in the second Chakra can lead to addiction, fear of change, sexual dysfunction, and depression.

Let's explore the Sacral Chakra with information, discussion, and a little creativity (it may get a bit messy). A gentle yoga sequence for flow, fun, and flexibility is offered with an uplifting meditation to end the morning. Feel free to wear something orange or bring something orange to class.
